"The problem isn't high prices. It's low wages.'" - 100%
Because high prices are the symptom everyone can see and low wages are the cause everyone in power prefers not to talk about. And AI is being used as a crutch to fire people.
Thanks for reading and commenting, Stacy! Yeah, I think positive (cognitive) reframing and appreciating the beauty of nature are sure bets for more happiness. Sadly, evolution is not an upward-climbing story of “progress”, which is why I focus on human “nature” which is pretty constant over time. Culture and technology change and can have a big impact, but corruption is always a big risk there. Oh well …
Great wisdom, Baird. Thank you.
Thanks for reading and for your kind comment, Jesse!

Greed is the point.
Or maybe it's the lily.
Happy Monday, Baird.
I hope you have a wonderful week.

See, you ALWAYS get exactly what’s goin’ on out there, Neela! No wonder I keep tuning in to your station (and I’m VERY selective about my pre-sets!).
Wishing you a good(er) week ahead as well! 🌱
I pay attention to the things and people worth paying attention to :)
Thank you, Baird.
Same to you as well.
All kinds of wonderful reframes Baird!
Coming from a reframing master, that’s a compliment I’ll take in for sure. Thanks Kyle!
I think the goal of positive ageing is to feel good about getting older ;-) I like your short takes!
Thanks for being a fan of Short Takes, Jessica! They’re fun to do!
My goal for the next few minutes: how to reframe the firehose of distraction, slight of hand, manipulation as "something else ... to get some relief."
The lilies are beautiful.
Maybe we (wave a grandiose hand gesture) will evolve into a humanity of better.

As we wake up to the morning news …
I need to think a bit more about the distinction - progress and nature.
Think. Think. Ouch!
