Thanks for your kind words, Richard! I’m glad you enjoyed them, and appreciate your picking Second Chance for special recognition. I was happy with how that one turned out!
Beautiful poems, Baird! Congratulations! I enjoy very much reading each poem. Epiphany moves me deeply. Love the last lines of Second Chance. Much more to say…
I love Second Chance, almost certainly because it reflects my life right now. But I love the verbal playfulness of Still, Life. Well done, Baird. I didn't realise you were such an accomplished bard.
Thanks Michelle! I’m glad you enjoyed those. Gotta live up to my name: Baird is the Scottish form of bard (you knew that per your reference) which comes from the French troubadour meaning a wandering minstrel. Good thing I can hold a tune!
Hope you’re well and thriving “over there”. 3K miles away from Plymouth Rock is a good plan these days!
These are great, Baird. The two that struck me most were Epiphany and Sunday. I'll get a chance to read more another time, because that is what is great about poetry.
These are stunning, Baird. I especially loved "The Course" and "Second Chance".
So much truth in how we chart our lives while barely steering.
Hope you had a good weekend, friend.
Happy New Week.
Thank you Neela. Glad you enjoyed those ones!
Wonderful collection of poetry Baird. Brilliantly written. Second Chance was my favourite one.

'I think I shall be among the English Poets after my death'. (John Keats)
Baird, I count you among the American poets
Thanks for those kind words, Grant. To be mentioned along with Keats is a kick!
"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be". from "Rabbi ben Ezra" by Robert Browning.
In this life of turmoil and madness, this poem gives me comfort.
Thank you Grant. Comforting and hope-full indeed to remember that good days and opportunities lie ahead.
The last of life, for which the first was made:
Our times are in His hand
Who saith, 'A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be
afraid!'

Thank you Chun! Coming from my real poet friend, your words mean a lot.

Epiphany? Sunday? Gee, I wonder why those resonated with you! (/s)
Glad you enjoyed them and thanks for reading and commenting, Hans!
